Jorgeada de Aragón : walking information
The Jorgeada is a multi-distance walking event organized by Os Andarines de Aragón that links Zaragoza and Huesca with several shorter options. The main long route runs from the Castillo de la Aljafería in Zaragoza toward Huesca. Participants can choose from a range of mapped tracks and downloadable GPS routes for each course.
The event offers practical services useful to walkers: 14 avituallamientos (food and drink stops, including dinner, breakfast and lunch), bus transfers, baggage transport, ambulances and post-finish massage services. All walkers receive a commemorative T-shirt and a diploma; special awards or souvenirs apply for long-term participants.
Registration is by online form and card payment, with a deadline and early-price period; places are limited to 1000 participants and registration closes earlier if full. Entry fees differ by route and membership status and increase after the published deadline. Maps, route tracks and event rules are provided in advance so walkers can prepare navigation and logistics.
Distances available include:
- 80 km
- 50 km
- 27.5 km
- 18 km
- 10 km
The organization states the event is open to anyone who feels able to complete the chosen route and provides medical and logistical support along the way. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
