Mammutmarsch Essen

Mammutmarsch Essen : walking details

The event offers two long-distance walking options that both start and finish at Grugapark, Am Grugapark 12 - 13, 45131 Essen. Walkers choose between:

• 75 km
• 100 km

The route runs around the Grugapark and through green landscapes, with varied paths, occasional climbs and calm sections for recovery. The course is a long-distance challenge that requires many hours of continuous walking and physical and mental endurance. Starts are organised in start groups with start-time windows that will be announced later. At the finish walkers receive a finisher medal, a certificate and a cold finisher drink, and the finish includes recognition from the event. The description notes that both distances take place on the same day and at the same location. The text refers to the event as demanding but offers routed sections suitable for resting and regaining strength. Running is mentioned only in the broader context of the event format and is not a focus for walkers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
