Mammutmarsch München / Starnberger See : walking details
The event is in München on 13 March 2027. Exact start and finish locations are not yet announced. Walkers start in groups and will be assigned start time windows that are to be published later.
The routes run through natural Bavarian landscapes, with sections along lakeshores, through dense forests and across wide fields. Both routes pass along the Starnberger See. The longer option includes a marked rest at Kloster Andechs where, in good weather, walkers can expect a broad panoramic view of the Alps.
Practical walker information:
- 42 km
- 55 km
The terrain is varied but described as largely natural paths and countryside; surface detail and elevation are not specified. Support on the route is implied by the named rest at Kloster Andechs for the 55 km option. At the finish walkers receive a finisher medal, a finisher wristband and a cold beer or a non-alcoholic drink.
Start details, exact route maps, checkpoint locations and other logistical specifics will be provided when the start and finish locations and time windows are published. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
