Marathon des Châteaux du Médoc : practical walking information
The event centre is in Pauillac with a village and bib collection at the COSEC before the main events. Official bus transfers between Bordeaux and Pauillac are available by reservation. The main marathon route includes 22 points of refreshment where walkers can drink and eat. There are many food and tasting stops along the course, and a village near the Maison du Vin offers further refreshments and food outlets all day.
On the day after the marathon there is a supervised recovery walk around Listrac Médoc for runners, companions and volunteers. Participation requires prior registration and a small fee. The recovery walk is limited to a fixed number of participants and includes a reserved meal under a marquee at the walk arrival, available by reservation and subject to access conditions.
