Megamarsch Hamburg : 100 km in 24 hours
The event is a single long-distance walk of 100 km to be completed within 24 hours across Hamburg. The route runs from the Elbe riverside through the Stadtpark and into the green outer districts, combining urban waterfront, park paths and suburban greenways. Total ascent is about 330 metres.
The start location is ZAL Zentrum für Angewandte Luftfahrtforschung GmbH, Hein‑Saß‑Weg 22, 21129 Hamburg. The finish is in Teufelsbrück. Organisers place four supply stations along the route, roughly every 20 km. Participants receive a walking pass and stamps at start and finish, and a certificate from the second supply station onward. A medal and entry in the Hall of Fame are awarded for a 100 km finish.
Practical route information is provided to participants in advance: the planned track is published for Komoot two weeks before the event and may be adjusted for local conditions. Organisers physically mark the route two days before the event and adapt if parts are not walkable. Station and finish opening hours follow average walking speeds between 4.2 km/h and 6 km/h.
