Each evening participants sleep in their own waterproof tents on organised campgrounds in Wassenaar, Noordwijk aan Zee, IJmuiden, Egmond aan Zee and Callantsoog. Toilet and washing facilities are available at the sites. Baggage such as tents and personal belongings is transported each morning by truck to the next campsite. Every morning walkers receive a bulletin with the day’s route description and practical notes. The organisation provides medical care and blister treatment at the campgrounds and serves a warm evening meal plus coffee, tea and drinks. Walkers are expected to arrive at the next campsite before the evening meal. Recommended personal equipment includes a waterproof tent, sleeping bag, towel, warm clothing, rainwear, sun protection and suitable footwear chosen by the participant.
