Wandel4daagse Diever : routes and practical info
This event offers four marked walking distances through the Drents-Friese Wold area, with routes signed by a different colour per distance. Distances:
- 40 km
- 30 km
- 20 km
- 12 km
Participants may walk one, two, three or all four days. It is possible to change distance between days but walkers must register at the desk for the distance they plan to walk that day. There are rest places at roughly every 5 to 6 kilometres. Dogs on a leash are allowed on the 12 km and 20 km routes. Start and reception are at groepsaccommodatie “Het Kasteel” in Diever, which also provides changing and meeting space.
Registration is available online until 23 May 2027 and also on site during the event; refunds for cancellations before 23 May are subject to an administration fee. Each day walkers must sign off at the correct desk to receive the stamp card for the next day. Routes pass through national park terrain and nearby estate and camping areas, with musical welcome each afternoon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
